Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Powered Sciences ("we," "us," or "our") built WiFi Pro: SIGINT Explorer for 802.11 wireless security research and education. This Privacy Policy describes our information practices when you use the App.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

WiFi Pro is designed to work without collecting personal data. We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Account credentials of any kind
• Contact lists or calendar data
• Financial or payment information
• 802.11 frame captures, PCAP files, or wardrive logs you create in the app
• Advertising identifiers (GAID)

3. Information That May Be Collected

Like most Android apps distributed via Google Play, certain technical information may be collected automatically by the operating system or Google Play Services, independent of WiFi Pro itself:

4. Permissions

WiFi Pro requests only the permissions required to operate the USB adapter and record data locally:

• USB host access — to communicate with supported Wi-Fi adapters via Android's USB Host API (OTG)
• Storage — to save PCAP / PCAPNG captures and wardrive CSV logs to local storage via MediaStore
• Location (fine / GPS) — used exclusively for the GPS wardriving feature to geo-tag discovered access points on your device. Location data is never transmitted to us or any third party.

We do not request permissions for contacts, camera, microphone, phone calls, SMS, or any other sensitive functionality unrelated to 802.11 research operations.

5. Your Captured Data

All data you generate within WiFi Pro — 802.11 frame captures, PCAP files, wardrive logs, and cracked credentials — is stored locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to us or any third party. Deleting the app removes any app-managed local files.

The firmware files downloaded for supported chipsets are fetched from the open-source linux-firmware project, SHA-256 verified, and stored in app-private storage. No content from your captures is included in these downloads.

6. Third-Party Services

WiFi Pro does not include any third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel), or social media SDKs.

The only third-party relationships involved in the distribution of this app are Google Play (for distribution) and the linux-firmware project (for open-source chipset firmware). Please review Google's Privacy Policy for information about data Google collects as part of the Play Store.

7. Children's Privacy

WiFi Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data of yours stored on our servers to protect. Locally stored files on your device are subject to Android's standard app sandboxing and your device's security settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will update the in-app description on Google Play. Continued use of the App after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes relating to this policy will be resolved in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
